About Me
I was just 12 years old when I decided I wanted to be a journalist.
Born and raised in North Texas, I landed my first journalism internship with the Fort Worth Report, serving the county I grew up in. Fresh out of high school, I honed my reporting skills and learned the importance of fair, balanced coverage.
Since then, I have served as campus editor for my community college's newspaper, written and edited lifestyle content for a student online magazine, moved to Kentucky to develop my investigative reporting skills, and learned audio storytelling through a public radio internship.
Now, I prepare to walk the stage in August of 2026. I will graduate from Texas State University with a B.S. in journalism and a minor in public health.
